GREEN BAY - If your Thanksgiving could use an extra helping of heartwarming this year, let Aaron Rodgers provide it.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback partnered with Postmates to share gifts, meals and smiles with patients and staff at HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital.

Food from downtown eatery Nectar was delivered along with Packers swag, including jerseys, onesies, hats and water bottles. The reaction of some of the children and their families is captured in a video that also shows Rodgers thanking hospital workers.

“You amazing people, what you’re doing for this city. Taking care of our kids is so important and so appreciated,” Rodgers said.

He also made a donation of an unspecified amount to Paul’s Pantry to help with its Thanksgiving meal distribution to more than 1,400 local families. Volunteers at the Green Bay nonprofit also received Packers merchandise.

Postmates, a food and goods delivery service, is partnering with the NFL to work with all of the teams in the league to donate meals to 30 cities.

Through his own Kirkoland Foundation, Packers linebacker Christian Kirksey donated 300 turkeys to Paul's Pantry that were distributed on Tuesday. It's not the first time he's helped out the pantry. In April, shortly after signing with the Packers, Kirksey donated cases of bottled water, peanut butter and tuna.
