ASHWAUBENON - Capital Credit Union Park will host a double bill from Wilco and Trampled By Turtles on Sept. 18.

It will be the inaugural concert for the $14 million stadium that opened in June 2019 as home to the Green Bay Booyah baseball team and Green Bay Voyageurs FC soccer team.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. rain-or-shine event will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday in person at the ballpark’s box office at 2231 Holmgren Way and through ticketmaster.com

Reserved seating in sections 101-126 is $44.50. General admission tickets on the field are $35. Premium packages with food and drink in club level sections 201-210 are available for $214.50.

A presale for Wilco fan club members begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday via Ticketmaster, followed by a second presale through the Booyah on Thursday.

Capacity for the concert will be 9,000 to 10,000, said Brian Kuklinski, corporate advertising manager fro the Booyah and Voyageurs. An audience that size would make it comparable to some of the Resch Center's all-time largest concert crowds.

The Ashwaubenon date is one of just three the two bands are doing together this summer. They’ll also play Water Works Park in Des Moines, Iowa, on Sept. 17 and Treasure Island Amphitheater in Welch, Minnesota, on Sept. 19.

The 2020 NFL season won't be announced until April, but the Ashwaubenon concert, on a Friday night, could potentially fall on the same weekend of the Green Bay Packers home opener at Lambeau Field.

Wilco, the Grammy Award-winning Chicago group fronted by Jeff Tweedy, kicks off a new round of U.S. dates in support of 2019’s “Ode to Joy” album on March 9 in Madison and then heads overseas in June. Trampled By Turtles sold out the Meyer Theatre last January. It was the Duluth, Minnesota, string band’s first Green Bay visit in four years.

Trampled By Turtles performs at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.

The concert will be the first major entertainment event at Capital Credit Union Park. In December, it hosted back-to-back nights by “Manitowoc Minute” comedian Charlie Berens in the 120-seat VerHalen Commercial Interiors Club.

"When we announced the building of Capital Credit Union Park, we intended the facility to be a true event center for the community. This exciting announcement of Wilco and Trampled By Turtles coming to Capital Credit Union Park furthers our mission to bring the highest quality events to the Greater Green Bay Area,” John Fanta, vice president of Green Bay Booyah and Green Bay Voyageurs FC, said in a news release.
